Accuracy
We aim for every specification, instruction and food-safety statement on this site to be accurate and verifiable. Product specifications come from manufacturer documentation wherever possible; where sources conflict, we use the manufacturer’s figure or note the discrepancy. We never publish invented test results, ratings, review counts, savings figures or testimonials.
Research standards
- Food-safety advice follows published guidance from the USDA, FDA, FoodSafety.gov, the National Center for Home Food Preservation and university extension services. Where advice comes from manufacturers rather than regulators, we say so.
- We never suggest that vacuum sealing makes unsafe food safe or replaces refrigeration or freezing.
- We clearly state whether a recommendation is research-based or based on hands-on use. See How We Review Products.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Material corrections — such as a changed specification or revised safety guidance — are made promptly and the article’s updated date is changed. You can report an error through our contact page.
Updates
Buying guides are reviewed regularly for discontinued models, changed specifications and new products. Every article shows when it was last updated.
Affiliate relationships and independence
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We may earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not determine which products we include, how we rank them or what we say about them, and no manufacturer pays for placement. We include drawbacks for every product we recommend. Advertising and sponsored content
We do not currently publish sponsored articles. If that ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly labelled.
